it would work...but it needs to stay a very small group and only that group...no alpha males, no jealous wives....any combination...to many things could go wrong if you branch out from your little "only" group

I love it. Being a little older I see another benefit where you have 4 people who love each other and then one of them needs special assistance. (hip replacement ex.) Then you would have 3 family members to love and care for that injured partner. How awesome and loving would that be? . . or darkest circumstances, one partner passes away. Now instead of 1 partner abandoned, you have 3 partners grieving, and consoling each other. It's much more loving, and safe.

Ever since I was quite young I wanted to have polyamory relationships. I always fantasized about living in the same house with the other men and women that I love. I would love to have two husbands or a husband and a wife.
